An Evaluation of Compositions for Wind-Band According to Specific Criteria of Serious Artistic Merit: A Replication and Update

An important task in replicating this study was to indentify a group of knowledgeable individuals to indentify compositions on A List of Compositions for Wind-Band which meet the Criteria for Serious Artistic Merit college wind conducting profession was again asked to nominate individuals who were recognized for their knowledge of wind-band repertoire. Of the 354 letters of solicitation sent out, 203 responses were received. A total of 252 band directors were nominated to be evaluators. Several individuals received multiple votes and the following gentlemen received a significant endorsement from the profession and became the evaluation team for the replication study:
